#10 Paula Creamer


The American golfer Paula Creamer is the only golf player to make the list of the highest

paid female athletes
in the world today. She is reported to earn a salary that is estimated to be $5.5 million and around $4.5 million from endorsements. She has also been ranked as second in the Women’s World Golf Rankings.






#9 Ana Ivanovic


With a decade of experience of being a professional tennis player, and being ranked number one in 2008, it’s no wonder that Ana Ivanovic has made the list of the highest paid athletes in the world today. She has an estimated salary of around $7 million, which at the age of 26 is certainly something to be proud of.





#8 Agnieszka Radwanska


Agnieszka Radwanska is a Polish tennis player. She turned professional in tennis around 9 years ago, and now makes a hefty $7.4 million each year at the age of just 24, what an achievement. She is ranked number 3 in the world however this is a drop from her 2nd place ranking in 2012, but being so young surely she can climb back up the ranks.





#7 Caroline Wozniacki



The third professional tennis player on the list, Caroline Wozniacki is considered to be one of the highest paid female athletes in the world today, she has a yearly income of an estimated $13.6 million. Like many other athletes on this list, much of Caroline’s wealth comes from endorsement deals, and is also reported to have earned over $15 million in career winnings.




#6 Kim Yuna



One of the most famous figure skaters in the world, Kim Yuna is reported to earn a yearly income of $14 million, making her one of the highest paid female athletes in the world today. She is well known in the media and her brilliance is portrayed beautifully by the fact that she has broken world records around 11 times.







#5 Danica Patrick



With a yearly income that tope $15 million, Danica Patrick is a race-car driver, model and an advertising spokeswoman! Age 31, she has achieved a lot in her career, including the title of the only woman to ever have a victory in an IndyCar Series race.





#4 Victoria Azarenka



Victoria Azarenka has been a professional tennis player for over a decade, another tennis player on the list. She was born in Belarus but currently resides in Monaco. This sport seems to produce a lot of rich females; she has an annual income of $15.7 million, which explains how she can afford the Monte Carlo lifestyle.






#3 Li Na



Li Na has been named as the first Asian woman to ever be the grand slam singles champion. This has been a huge success for her and is what saw her shoot to fame in 2011. She is now considered to be third on the list of the highest paid female athletes, with a yearly income of around $18.2 million.






#2 Serena Williams



Not being the only tennis player to make the list, Serena Williams was reported to have turned pro at the tender age of just 14, which shows her true brilliance. She has won over $50 million in prize money and is reported to earn around $20.5 million annually, around half of which comes from endorsement deals.





#1 Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova has been a professional tennis player for over a century now and really has worked her way to the top. She is currently considered to be the highest paid female athlete in the world with a $29 million annual income. Her wealth does not only come from her talents in tennis, she also models for sports advertisements, and in doing so, earns a fortune.
